PROJECT STRATEGY
The Shinola Hotel in downtown Detroit defines the true spirit of Detroit using a timeless sense of style, quality craftsmanship and products in a luxurious boutique setting. The Shinola Hotel combined five buildings including the former Singer Building and T.B. Rayl Company. Master Craft Floors is proud to be a part of this historic renaissance and restoration project including polished concrete with custom brass in-lays and wood flooring installed throughout. Master Craft Floors expertly installed flooring products such as concrete polishable overlay (Rapidset Tru Grey) with two-inch custom brass inlays in corridors and custom wood flooring installation in the Brixby Hall ballroom, Living Room, Evening Bar, and San Morello restaurant. The main staircase in the Living Room was also carefully restored with custom White Oak rift sawn wood flooring (treads and risers).
