Master Craft Floors was founded by Eugene “Gene” Ulfig and his wife Eleanor “El” Ulfig in 1974. With Gene’s installation background combined with El’s financial prowess, they set the foundation of all that Master Craft Floors has become today.

After his longtime employer shut down shop, Eugene decided to use his resources and master flooring installation skills to jump into the business world. Eugene’s work ethic and perfectionism is reflected through the entire workforce and is where Master Craft Floors’ professional reputation originated.
Eleanor Ulfig
Co-Founder / Master Bookkeeper
Eleanor Ulfig is the heart and backbone of Master Craft Floors. With her husband handling work in the field, Eleanor used her background in finance to build the company’s foundation. Failure was not an option… all while managing four children at home.
Dan Ulfig stepped out of the installation world, took the reigns of Master Craft Floors in 1985 and never looked back. Hiring more staff and field personnel with his vision, the business kept growing. In the mid-2000’s Detroit, MI took a gamble and added 3 casinos to the downtown skyline. Master Craft Floors was the most qualified local contractor and was awarded two of these projects simultaneously, the Motor City Casino and MGM Grand – Detroit projects. With this gaming experience and the urging of partners and clients from this work, Master Craft ventured into Nevada. After some exploratory work traveling back and forth as work demanded, Master Craft opened officially in January of 2010 with an office, warehouse space & full-time staff.
